1. Philosophy of Ministry that is Family Integrated
Families Worship Together:
We believe the best place for a child to learn about the Bible is with their family. As parents, we encourage taking an active role in pointing our children to our Savior and personally discipling them in their relationship with Christ. With this goal in mind, families worship together in the service.
FIC (family integrated church):
No Systematic Age Segregation is one of the biggest distinctions of Grace Church of the Temecula Valley. In other words, there is the absence of age-segregated ministries. We believe the best way to do children's and youth ministry is to equip parents, especially fathers, to do the work of the ministry that is commanded in Scripture. Our teaching elders work to make sure that the teaching is clear enough for the youngest believers and challenging enough for those who are mature in the faith.
2. We Gather in Homes
In the New Testament church, we see people contributing their spiritual gifts by participating in the lives of other members. We find the people of God living like a true family. The early church shared meals and had connection with each other throughout the week. In order to help us truly love each other, we have committed to gathering in our homes to live like a family: to truly know each other, carry each other’s burdens, and build each other up. Another reason we meet in homes is because of the financial implications. By meeting in homes and having no church building, we have the option to take our offerings and put all the money into ministry locally, nationally, and worldwide without the strain of a building payment.
3. Bivocational Leadership
While Scripture is clear that an elder who is a faithful in teaching and leading is with worthy of double honor (1 Timothy 5:17), our leadership is blessed with additional vocations that provide our salaries so that all offerings go to: 1) local ministry, 2) national ministry, 3) worldwide missions, and 4) resources for the poor and disenfranchised (see Partners in Ministry)
